“Winter Weddings”
Turned my back;
Promises betrayed.
Vows broken.
Wishing I had stayed.
Decisions made in desperation,
Too late to turn around.
Running from my past,
A path of destruction found.
Blinded by pain.
Stupid became self-destructive:
Searching for death
Proved productive.
Clean is the razors cut;
Clean is the deadly dope.
Consumed in anguish
Killing myself to cope.
The hour soon to strike,
Fate deeply rooted.
Embrace the path,
Every step sure-footed.
Heart in His hands
Saved by His Grace.
Surrendering my soul,
Gods Love I embrace
Promises betrayed.
Vows broken.
Wishing I had stayed.
Decisions made in desperation,
Too late to turn around.
Running from my past,
A path of destruction found.
Blinded by pain.
Stupid became self-destructive:
Searching for death
Proved productive.
Clean is the razors cut;
Clean is the deadly dope.
Consumed in anguish
Killing myself to cope.
The hour soon to strike,
Fate deeply rooted.
Embrace the path,
Every step sure-footed.
Heart in His hands
Saved by His Grace.
Surrendering my soul,
Gods Love I embrace
