I'll leave it up to you

I practice letting go
Give my brain lots of breaks
I'll leave it up to you
You know all my mistakes

I don't know who you are
But you know who I am
You are my guiding star
The way out of quicksand

The church describes you one way
But I like my own better
I like to think you are like me
Trying to steer through stormy weather

You know all in my heart
The one that I call god
The endless mistery
Trusting will set me free

So wherever I go
And whatever I do
My refuge is my faith
The thing I most believe
The one thing always true

I will do what I can

Then leave it up to you

Author's Note
I think god has put me here to do good. For however long I will be here, he will guide me. I am not religious in any formal tradition, but I was raised Christian and I still believe in god, though I don't believe in any church. To me, if you try your best to do good, then you are a child of god, and he will guide you.
