Whispers of the Dawn

gentle sighs in morning light
whispers so incessantly bright
waves that lap the shore
while waking dreams still linger

each waves seem to tell a story
lullabies of kingdom ocean deep
sea embraces the avid  listener
the grace of soul living near

salty air a sweet perfume
invigorates as gossamer balm
the sounds of beautiful nature
a symphony so peacefully calm

I stand here with the world awake
assured of life for the day
an island paradise just beyond the city
and today I'm happy and contented
