Warrior & Princess
The dragon's haze
In reptile scales
Depicts gravity
Spinning my eyes
With sensual whirlwind
Taking my breath away
In fleshly wonder
To experience the fire
Of darkened fallout
Graven pits
Lest confession
Consequent disposition
A captivating commitment
Instant tempest perpetuity
That certainly dissapates
Along with time
The cravings of desire
To smoke and ashes
Rising in the air
Infinitely miniscule
Mystical and mythical
My golden quest
Purifying in flames
Against bestial divide
Perhaps a fate unknown
Conquering me
Befallen of wanton lust
Held in the aura
By trials and treasure
Continually trying
I shall rescue
Never blinded
Through prison quarters
Where she abides
With tormented host
The fantasy of freedom
As the very key
To unlock her being
My battles attain
By sacrifice
Slaying the creature
Sword and shield
Saves my humanity
As the locks loosen
Shackles, chains, and bars
Upon her environment
When temperate differences
In the abyss
Finally strengthen
In life becoming
Loud rejoicing
Echoes in the open
Both her and I
Will live to tell
Our legendary fate
Into sunsets beyond horizons
As tomorrow's hope
Is a new day
Rising in dawn still
Like each other's promise
Together we flourish
Vibrant overflow
Like abundant brightness
Upon white garment
Flooding the atmosphere
With cleanly light
Blessed enough
With gushing spirit
An age anew
In praise and glory
Memories yesterday
Once known suffering
Microcosm comparison
When unity achieves
Absolute purpose
In truth and harmony
Betwixt her and I
As we pass down
To newer generations
Yet to come

This is quite the epic.
There's nothing more important than love.

That is very nice of you to say. I was aiming for like morality and principle in marriage and overcoming the lust in the world.
I'm glad you liked it. I really appreciate your support, and the fact that you took time to read this. Yeah, my partner makes me happy. She's literally, without even exaggerating, the only one for me. The level of sacrifice that she makes for me at times is beyond words. I almost feel as though I come up short on my end of the bargain, or that I'm not good enough for her, or that she can find someone better than me, or like that I'm not worthy. That's how much she puts into the relationship to make it work, and sometimes, I feel ashamed, and like I take it for granted.
This is a reminder for me to love her, and never give up. More or less, about the struggles and battles in the world that I've had to endure to come to be with her, and that sacrifice of always being there for me. We've both been through a lot, and this is the "trial" of my "adversity" - to come to find her and love her.
The metaphors speak for themselves, but it's kind of like an inner battle with introspection and coming to "win the princess" out of endurance and conquering lustful desire, selfishness in myself, and the evil influence of the world. Thanks for checking it out!

To me it's a sign of proper love that you actually worry if you're taking her for granted even if its unwarranted it shows genuine care. She clearly treasures you and you probably both worry you aren't doing enough for one another regardless of how satisfied you are in the relationship. I think the greatest treasure is being treasured by the person you love most. I genuinely hope you have a long and happy life together. You are a good person (your wife clearly is too), its awesome you see her as a princess.

Family and marriage are the most purposeful and true things commonly known by mankind. To pass on your seed to a new generation takes commitment and honesty, both in the marriage, as well as parenting. Different growth and maturity come into play when you take on those roles, and it further defines both you and your partner in living a life you were meant to live.
Many people question purpose and truth and are never satisfied because mankind currently doesn't know the answer, but there's always love in relationships, which in itself, bears witness and testimony to an ongoing hope. If you don't believe in anything, at least believe [n your partner.
With that said, the summary, where I stand firm in belief, is that God created mankind to populate the earth and establish relationships (not just sexual), which are important in identity as well as experience. Further down the road, there is going to be a great transition and revelation of God's plan. Much grander and broader scope will show prophecy and the future. Things will make sense to people then. Right now, without that basic, given knowledge of God even existing, mankind is lost in so many ideas about sexuality, or even a reason to live, or why we're here.
So yes, I find myself quite blessed to have a life-partner and teammate to potentially create a family with. There is much to experience ahead, and learning and growing never ends. To have a partner with you through that is an inherent need.
