Absolute willingness to use power

Party members  
National security experts  
All warned against the choice  
Advice unheeded  
 
Say goodbye to  
competent leadership  
American exceptionalism  
American leadership
On a more personal note,
Say goodbye to  
freedom  
over your body  
freedom  
in your bedroom  
free speech  
freedom to be  
educated  
freedom to  
read
 
I fear for the next four years.  
 
Maybe dire predictions will be wrong  
I hope so  
But  
Past experience  
is  probably predictive of  
what we can expect  
from the next four years
or maybe more
