The Way Life Goes
Sun pierces through a vast barricade of bark.
Moon filtering through the dream landscape
of the dark.
Those were the days, trees were on fire.
A blaze with the most vibrant orange.
Burning against the evergreen fringe.
Warmer on the heart than the breath of spring.
Reflecting backwards she thought
I guess that's the way life goes.
Acceptance is the secret no one seems to know.

Bravo. This is on point with description. It seems as though you "zoom in and out" of "colorful resolution" that reflects both the observation and your emotions inside. The way you painted a picture, and defined a course of direction, and how it melded together with a theme, in a seemingly well-balanced fashion of metaphorical analogy, is great. I get a feel of some philosophical principle being reflected upon as well, while reading this. A great glimpse into your potential as a writer. This is added to the read again list. Thank you for the really nice review. My mom and grandmother always said
that phrase - that's the way life goes. I don't think it's easy to find acceptance.
It's like the serenity prayer, change the things we can, accept the things you can't
and wisdom to know the difference. I'm glad you liked it and thought the nature
went well with it. I wasn't sure about that.
