Wish
I held you so close
Forever feeling you'd be mine
A warm fire to
Stave off the freezing rain
But oh so slowly
We drifted away
Boats listless
Lost in the raging sea
I searched for you
In the gutters of this
Suffering world
Filled with parasites and leeches
But to no avail
My dream was gone
In a whisper not quite heard
You sank into the shadows
I had to let you go
A bright fragile butterfly
Into a hurricane
Of darkness and despair
But I will always wait
Upon our beautiful dreams
That we once shared
And wish
For your sparkled silhouette
To shine for me once more
A welcomed respite
In this world of gloom
Forever feeling you'd be mine
A warm fire to
Stave off the freezing rain
But oh so slowly
We drifted away
Boats listless
Lost in the raging sea
I searched for you
In the gutters of this
Suffering world
Filled with parasites and leeches
But to no avail
My dream was gone
In a whisper not quite heard
You sank into the shadows
I had to let you go
A bright fragile butterfly
Into a hurricane
Of darkness and despair
But I will always wait
Upon our beautiful dreams
That we once shared
And wish
For your sparkled silhouette
To shine for me once more
A welcomed respite
In this world of gloom
