Sinister Mind
Outside in the distance a black cat moans
Underneath a blistered sky the stars revolt
Lost in the wilderness while casting stones
Testing fate on the edge of a lightning-bolt
Strangers gather around the mystic stream
In need of quenching some forgotten thirst
Wandering across miles guided by a dream
Only to realize the journey has been cursed
Death will consume them all before sunrise
Silently a creature approaches from behind
Overwhelmed taken completely by surprise
Falling victim to a madman’s sinister mind

Very lucid and vivid depiction. It almost reminds me of some King Crimson lyrics or something, only more sinister and darker. Your stanzas are solid in this, as you make compacted points that carry in transition to build the overall moral message conveyed. I can just imagine some of what takes place, as I read this. Great write, my friend. Thanks for sharing.
