Return

The choppy pewter gray lake,
is a view that causes mistakes to vacate.
Life wasn't meant to hesitate.
I seek the tall black bark elder trees.
They hold the knowledge of the free.
The foliage is vanishing fast,
the soil hungers for leaves.
Lemon and rust color
lingers to please.
The beauty of autumn paints the soul.
As winter is greedy to unleash it's cold.
Whispers of return, the barren limbs are told.
