Spy among Us

Tentacle stretches across the sea floor
 
With some suckers on his arm gripping onto his prey
 
When he’s with a friend wraps his arm around  
And hugs him up
 
As a hermit crab searches for a new home
So they line up size by size to find a new apartment  
 
With a camera on his shell so I can see  
What’s going on in the land of the hermits
 
They proceed to move into their new shell
Some happy some not so much
 
A pigs day begins in the Caribbean  
Swimming in the ocean
 
They swim like Michael Phelps  
But there is a spy among them  
 
Recording every move that they make  
Pigs in the Caribbean really  
 
When I went to the Bahamas I never saw one of them even in the casino  
 
Saddleback clownfish are immune to their deadly sting
Send out a search party to lay some eggs
 
They find a flip flop at the bottom of the ocean  
Plastic bottle approaches but clownfish says no way
 
Take a coconut shell to the place that they will  
Spawn some eggs
Daddy tends to the flock until they emerge
 
As incredible minds of whales swim about  
Whales talk to each other like humans do
 
They have the closest amount that makes us human
 
They speak their words but before you know they go off to their party of spindle neurons  
 
They are deep thinkers under the oceans
They recognize and remember  
 
They reason and communicate perceiving change and adapting
 
Understanding the blue water
 
We know less about being under the ocean  
Than we know about great planets and galaxies
