Land of The Moon Shadows

I'm in my bedroom
Unwilling to sleep
An something wakes inside
ancient primordial
Shout, a plea.

I glance at my window
The pull is stronger there.
I need an escape
From life's future wears.

I slip on some shoes
The colors melt.
I step outside,
The cards yet to be delt.

Each diamond,
Too prettily crafted
For human eye.
But I get to see,
Them all
In the sky
Shining
Like the colors of you.

Colors of everyone
Of everything
Being this free
makes me want to sing.

It helps me forget
For awhile
Being out here
My future I must reconcile.

It all fades to shadows
No more oppressive day
The night will listen
To what you have to say.

The air
Too pure
For humans to breathe.
But yet here I stand
Nothing to grieve.
In the cold clear
Crystal.
For once, I am alive.

Moon shadows dancing
I'm dancing with them
A spot of growth in my mind
A pale blue stem.

I am breathing
Back from the dead.
No thought process
No weight of lead.

It feels like day,
Yet it is night.
Refracting shadows
Dark to Light.

So still
Like a blue void.
Peaceful.
This I can face
Not even
Thoughts
Could cut through
This sacred place.

Frozen in time,
Everything stops.
Each star
A pale ice drop.

Soft winds blowing
Still yet free.
The silent power
Speaks to me.

This places holds so much
In its gentle grip.
So much power
Too bad in the day, it all flips.

A snap.

Back to reality.
In the real world
The pressure is crushing.
Even the sky knows that
I am Prisoner on trial
Glad I could escape
To the land of the moon shadows
At least for a little while.
