a thousand times a fool

inside the chambers of my chest
corrugated walls consume its screams
but you were always deaf to them
you only heard your own chambers
echoing solos of silent sonatas

we could wake beneath these skies
a thousand times for a thousand days
and our eyes would fall upon the same delight
as our love is reborn a thousand times

it would never be enough for you
to love each other every day with new eyes
I cannot offer you more than this

I leave you with these words
as an attempt to emancipate myself
when you want to wake with me next
I'll reluctantly oblige
with my screams falling on deaf ears
soaked up by the walls
in the chambers of my chest
