Fall Comes Alive
My heart stirs
Like new life forming
Taking wing within my
Imagination
I see the countryside changing
Gold and red and silver
Flashing in the trees
As I go flashing by
Inside my own interpretation
Of Rushs' Red Barchetta
With the very same blasting
In my ears
Nothing chases me though
Save my hearts wild beating
Egging me on to greater heights
In my discovery of the new season
And though new life stirs in my heart
Outside life is winding down
Waiting for the wintry blasts
The covering snow so deep
As I flash past the small animals
Turn in their preparation
And stare wistfully
At the lucky fool in the red car
Like new life forming
Taking wing within my
Imagination
I see the countryside changing
Gold and red and silver
Flashing in the trees
As I go flashing by
Inside my own interpretation
Of Rushs' Red Barchetta
With the very same blasting
In my ears
Nothing chases me though
Save my hearts wild beating
Egging me on to greater heights
In my discovery of the new season
And though new life stirs in my heart
Outside life is winding down
Waiting for the wintry blasts
The covering snow so deep
As I flash past the small animals
Turn in their preparation
And stare wistfully
At the lucky fool in the red car
