Wrong Address

Wrong address

Pull up to pick up
Just missed the address
Put in in R and back it up

Before I can a shot rings out
Shatters young dreams
20 years old

Didn’t know making a mistake
Would be the end of me

Didn’t even get out of the car
Man on the porch says you’ve gone too far

Rings in my ears
And my nightmares

Rings the doorbell
Greets with a rifle

Through the glass
Bullet pierces innocence

Cheering in Texas
Step into the wrong car

Can’t get away fast enough
Metal on flesh is a bad outcome

What’s  so wrong with the scenario
Bullets fly in the distance
Don’t need a permit
To end his existence
