Unapologetic Mind

Desperate men convolute everything around them
Holding onto past accomplishments to remain relevant
What happens when there are no more pieces to sell?
Waking up one cold morning no longer in their element

Corporate dinosaurs keep growing bitter over time
Desensitized so much they think of themselves as god
Offering secrets to the highest bidder on the dark web
It’s a sinners heart fueling them to commit another fraud

Oh, what happens on the day they begin to realize?
That life in the fast lane leaves no witnesses behind
Moon-glow covers them like an all knowing spotlight
Eternal prisoner locked inside an unapologetic mind

Author's Note
Late night musing. The mind can be a prison, that holds you accountable for your actions. Appreciate you.

- Damian DeadLove

" Plead no contest, pass the buck
Running scared, you ain't so tough
We hold rehearsal for your death
We're tired of your smile
Boogey man, see what you get
Walk a crooked mile"

- Lemmy Kilmister
