There's tension in the room
But the fights not yet begun
Could have just walked away
But I never have been that smart
And so here we go again
Gonna yell and scream and hurt
Saying things that we don't mean
Just to get a fucking rise
When will you and I ever learn
Things aren't fixed with more volume
It all wouldn't matter so much
If we weren't really in love
we should be
Learning to find the light
When it seems so damn dark
Learning to explore
The things that are truly important
We need to
Find a way to talk instead of screaming
Learn to truly listen
And most of all
Stop making things worse
If we can't do at least some of these things
We should just walk away now
Before we're so hurt
That we hate each other
