City Lights
Bustling, crying, laughter
The sounds of cars, planes
Their engines purring
Music every so often
All the noise
Yet I am content with it
I find comfort in the large buildings that reach the sky
I hardly see any sign of flies
I don’t get mosquito bites
The night isn’t dark alone
It’s a flame, dancing in various shapes, sizes and colors
I was not from here
Like a giraffe among zebra
It’s a temporary home
This noisy place
That somehow catches my gaze
The sounds of cars, planes
Their engines purring
Music every so often
All the noise
Yet I am content with it
I find comfort in the large buildings that reach the sky
I hardly see any sign of flies
I don’t get mosquito bites
The night isn’t dark alone
It’s a flame, dancing in various shapes, sizes and colors
I was not from here
Like a giraffe among zebra
It’s a temporary home
This noisy place
That somehow catches my gaze
