ever shaded in purple
such is life the spice of it
snuff out the tales that make no sense
or erect a statue to them

sacrificing everything to it
give your blood and sweat
until it has a voice
louder than your ability to silence it

mortification your honor slipped
and you already have a slippery tongue
secrets of your carnal worship
wrapped up with the whitewashed tale you've been told

all to distract people from the truth
powerful knowledge is forgotten
and your lies have risen as giants

still the truth will open minds
there are many others that will remember
using common sense and science

we as a people will realize
the odor is coming from
too many were killed to satisfy who?

the smell of sulfur rises
and nothing is hidden
a thousand virgins chant
metaphors and parables
there is no key or book

to give you an understanding
