Raindrops

As I take my final walk  
Down to my favorite lake  
The voices from beyond talk  
Reflecting on my life I shake  
   
Myself staring back at me  
In the crystal blue reflection    
My life and my history  
And a thorough introspection    
   
I see my reflection start to cry    
My tears I try to splash away  
Regret that made me want to die    
Revisiting me this incredible day  
   
The dark angry clouds form  
Cutting through me like a knife    
Then the water transforms  
As I anguish at my life  
   
Forgiveness before I die I seek  
As the ripples take away my pain  
With softness the wind speaks  
I finally feel alive again  
   
Raindrops fall down on me  
As the weight of the world lifted    
I now feel every memory  
That my life to me has gifted  
   
The 1st raindrop I feel    
Takes me to when I was child  
At a picnic with my parents so real  
My innocence inside has smiled  
   
The BBQs and baseball games  
And playing with my friends    
Having fun after school  
The joy that never ends  
   
More raindrops on my body splash  
One the day I met my angel  
My beautiful wife appeared in a flash  
Meeting her I'm so grateful    
   
More raindrops began to appear  
The day my son was born  
Memories that are crystal clear  
My story no longer torn  
   
All of the family vacations  
The laughs and time together  
My sons graduation    
And the birth of my granddaughter    
   
A lifetime of eternal bliss  
So many countless memories  
Love a permanent reminisce    
Reunited forever in eternity    
   
As the end of the storm nears  
It's the end of my beginning  
My reflection now disappears  
Beginning my new ending    
   
I embark on a new journey  
The one of my afterdeath  
Stress no longer concerns me  
This world filled with endless breaths  
   
Family friends and love  
With anticipation my heart patters  
Embarking on this journey up above  
Understanding now what really matters  
   
Thank you for answering my prayers  
And giving me a second chance  
I ascend up the cloud like stairs  
And begin my eternal dance
