Breaking Tide
So I say tonight, that I am breaking like the tide. No shores to find so that I could break inside. I'm a cowboy lost on the plains, without a steed to ride. My thoughts of you cut deep. That I bleed inside. I'm the face of the moon, my world is dark so I have no place to hide. My dreams wept last night, in my sleep I heard them cry. And my screams grew wings so I let them fly. Oh yes my flesh is weak, yet my spirit never dies. And at sunrise, I found no warm shores to welcome my breaking tides.
