Back to Me

Woke up today
Refreshed in a different way
Smiling in a new way
For yesterday, tho it’s come and gone
Was a true way to get me back to my way
A day with no fear of failing
A day with no fear of questioned
A day with no fear of being judged
A day I got back to my way
A day I got back to being me
A day I got back to living free
So many years wasted
So many times holding my self back
Too many days of negatives in my ear
Tho it’s in the past
It’s remolded my future
It remolded my today
It remolded my present
Today I can truly cross another off the list
Slowly regaining my belief in me
And I need to leave behind that I am not good
And I need to listen to the one that said
You are a good man
For those words came with no encouragement or persuasions
I see those words were spoken true and clear
So today I am more refreshed than my words can ever say
And all I needed was to have the courage
To go back to being me yesterday
This is just one small reason you see smile today
Thank all those around me , who showed me
It’s ok to be me, everyday
I am back now, and back to stay
