Why can't I sleep a little bit longer?

Why do my conscious and subconscious mind
want to wake up
When I don't have to

Dreams do not come as easily to me as they used to

The pitch of night and the stillness
greets me with every toss and turn

A slight doze and you are there

Lips a centimeter apart

Your scent surrounds me

You lightly graze your nose against mine

I want to move but I am frozen in time

I should feel fear

What I feel is sadness

I know you are not here

My mind fabricated your existence

Hot tear falls

Did I stop breathing
