Lady of notions

She whimsies the wind
She measures the night
She calloused desire
Without easing her light

The lady of notions
The breadth of her lore
Knows something of nothing
And we’re still wanting more

The depth of her knowledge
The spill of her brain
The wisp of good lineage
Is the drench of the rain

The snare of the wish
The drift of the sane
The glare of the twilight
Is the husk of her grain

acquired enlightenment
From the tussle of life
Always standing alone
In the thick of their strife

The strength of her prowess
To be shaded from sin
The lady is upswept
In the vigour within
