The Constance of Sorrow
That year, sadness swiftly swept,
through the corridors of my soul.
Turbulent tears torrentially cold.
Yet finches and sparrows land songs,
deep inside my trembling marrow.
Hope is vulnerably bold.
The way its enigma unfolds.
With nature loose in my heart
I cannot feel the constance of sorrow.
through the corridors of my soul.
Turbulent tears torrentially cold.
Yet finches and sparrows land songs,
deep inside my trembling marrow.
Hope is vulnerably bold.
The way its enigma unfolds.
With nature loose in my heart
I cannot feel the constance of sorrow.

What a beautiful but sad poem. The wording and image work perfectly. Very creative & very authentic.

Thanks so much, that's where I'm at - I am sad.
But I try to have hope and that usually comes from nature.

The alliteration in lines 1, and 3 really made the stanza move. Well penned, my friend.

Wow, what a power close. I know those last two lines will call back to me when I need them. Beautiful.

What a powerful yet dark piece, the picture fits it perfectly.

And one of those skulls still has its own hair. Amazing! The sound & look of nature can be soothing, I agree. 😊
