Image for the poem The last unfolding venue

The last unfolding venue

I favour absolution
But it divides thy weary head
To satisfy illusion
I’ll paint the words you’ve never said

Your lips are stained with envy
Your tears are spilled with rust
Your breath is long and winded
Cinders down to piling dust

Your soul is convoluted
Your Impatience is a sin
The measures that adjust thyself
Outstretched as it is thin

I value common thresholds
I’m never surging to the void
Never splayed out in continue
Never thoughtlessly deployed

I hold that chance will favour
The incredibly devout
But the last unfolding venue
Sings the praise without the clout

I shalt not be dishonest
I will not fade the truth
But you’re breeding the despotic
devoid of common couth
