The poem’s visceral attack on corrupt, bigoted governments and societies is all the more forceful for the way the poem is written in mostly informal, slang-heavy diction.
Some examples:
seen a lot of fucked up things

Trump is a steaming pile of crap
The words chosen are colloquial, rife with swear words and slang. This serves several purposes.
Firstly, it establishes that the poem relates to the here and now. More old-fashioned or formal diction might have felt outdated in the face of our very current political decay and tyranny.
Secondly, it conveys the intensity of the speaker. They employ very immediate diction to express their utter rage at what our “leaders” are doing to us. If the diction had been more “sophisticated”, utilising words derived from Latin and Ancient Greek, it would have likely lost its impact, as such words generally are less concrete than modern word choices. Think of the differences between saying “Trump is abhorrent” compared to “Trump is a steaming pile of crap”. The first is more elegant, more polished, and seems more intelligent. But it doesn’t directly convey the emotions of the speaker the way the second line does. And the speaker has been so roused, so dismayed by the hatred of those who should serve us, that they can only vent their rage as clearly and directly as possible.
Finally, it establishes that the poem is on the side of the masses rather than elites, as it actively adopts the language of the street rather than the boardroom or speech to Parliament/Congress.
All in all, it is moving and powerful. Keep it up!

One of the fair critiques of those critical of Trump is that the response is overly intellectual, giving people the impression that though well meaning, they aren't in touch with those not linked to the elites. This write is grounded in what one can hear from a neighbor or even bus rider. Certainly someone walking down a sidewalk.
