A Shade Not So Blue
Wishful thinking on a cloudy day
Not really looking forward to rain
Bright sky overwhelmed with grey
Mother nature washes away pain
Simple things are delightfully grand
How flavors blend when combined
Drink in your hand, toes in the sand
Reflected by this cozy state of mind
Forget about life every now and then
Do something meaningful and true
Bathe in the light cast away this skin
Until we find a shade not so blue

Lovely. Just the ticket to remind us to find the thing that will bring joy. Second stanza, I can smell the ocean and feel the calming effects already. I really enjoyed this piece. H🌷

Wonderful poem. I really enjoyed the flow. Reminds me of an album title from Anathema: "We're here because we're here". Sometimes being here is all that is needed.
