Taking A Stance

You held the pad lock,
With a key gripped in your fist,
You don’t want to stop but,
I demand you unbind my wrists.

I may’ve been born into your care,
You may think you dictate my future,
Yet none of this is fair,
To that I am sure.

I am a warrior,
A fighter with knowledge and strength,
You had me living in your horrors,
But soon you shall see.

So this is the anthem I will now chant,
Listen to my footsteps as they fade,
I deserve freedom,
I will no longer stay in your shade.

Sing with me,
Those who long to be free,
The following lines,
For we deserve happiness and glee.

Depriving them of their freedom because of a commitment
At a young age you're in an abusive relationship and don't even know it

Get rid of these horrors
Get rid of these Nightmares

No one gives you ownership, No one owns you
Be free, even if you have to kill for it
Divine beings aren't around to help you

Do it for you, do it for yourself
Don't wait for it to get worse, don't forgive, don't be sensitive
It's too easy to talk, for the suffering is not only carnal

Abusive relationships
Get rid of them all

Cleanse yourself, Cry, Hold on to the pain for a few days,
As you release that pain, the anger & distrust you feel will give you the strength to overcome
