Sasha Wore a Red Dress
She drove to the shore
(couldn’t take anymore)
wore her best
flowing red dress
She said:
“I’ll close my eyes
fly up to the skies
may never return
it’s all gonna burn
all day and all night—
Now it’s my turn
to run away.
What price can I pay
to live for the day?
Just killing time
until I can find
some feeling inside
for feeling alive.”
The tide flowed in
pulled back again
around and around
a soothing sound
She never made it
out of the flow
wade in deeper--
(wade in deeper)
“How far can I go”
“Oh so grand”
(Take the sea’s hand)
“Come inside
come inside—
let’s fly”
“It’s so right”
Gone in the night
out of sight
out of sight
(couldn’t take anymore)
wore her best
flowing red dress
She said:
