On the resilience of it
I watch raindrops
kissing my window
hear softness
tapping on glass,
I wrap myself in
this small moment
as I douse myself
into my cool bed
immersing my
raging skin in
the safety of it,
my thoughts turn
into salt water, my
body passes on
to the next wave
I lean into silence,
knowing how loud
the world is slowly
turning on it's axis
I remind myself
how my mind is
a blank flag,
how my body
turns into a riot
never stopping
for anything
or anyone.
