TRIGGER WARNING: references to rape

Everyone called him Uncle
because he was older
but older doesn't mean wiser
it just means better an manipulating

He should have known better
than to seduce a naive broken 19 year old
but he didn't
he saw me for what I was
young and stupid and desperate for love

He made his play

He would say strange things to me
like I was too pretty to not have been a slut

When he raped me it wasn't violent
we were alone in his room
and I didn't fight it because
I didn't want to make a scene
didn't want to get caught
breaking the rules
again
when the nurse and director
already hated that they had
to babysit a self harmer
and I'd already be threatened
more than once
with expulsion from the program
so I did nothing

The only person who knew
was the chaplain and I never
mentioned to word rape
but I think he understood
because of the insane age gap
between myself and this man
that everyone called Uncle

I only managed to escaped him
by finding someone scarier
to hide behind
but that's a whole other story
