Image for the poem Chatoyant Aye

Chatoyant Aye

Wandering serenade shadows falling
a silent stream among still waters
in the chamomile and lemongrass
as an alumnus of the winds choiring
a metamorphosis of dreams gone by
with a chatoyant aye of spiritual plea
of the clouds and tall winding shawls
ancient long bearded grandfather trees
whispering gartered green sleeve
as if poetic cinnamon-scented leaf
too melancholy on a gilded sheave
in a landscape of nature's boutique
