Like All My Life

if there's one thing I've learned
is people come and go
but love is forever
and that's written in stone
if I waste my time
pleasing every critic
I'll never succeed, or live out my dreams
still there's always those bullies
trying to put me down
making me feel dumb
like all my life

wish to be the joy
even when the light goes dim
some days don't know why I try
rather seclude myself with money & sex
saying fuck everyone and everything
still my heart gets in the way
even when it gets stepped on
losing most my friends
just for being myself
like all my life

deep inside we're all devils and angels
some days I want to play the saint
other days I want to be the sinner
is it bad to want to punch a fucker
take his girl and fuck up her pussy
or should I talk things out
tell them it was a misunderstanding
then invite them to dinner
and those are the thoughts I battle with
some days it's a flip of a coin
