Floating

Floating down the river bend
I sure am missing a few friends
Floating down the river bend
I hope I get to see them again
Floating down the river bend
My friend, you’ve gone too soon
I drink to your memory
Of the times the river spoke our names
Young and bold
You’ll never grow old
Your story will be told
Tales that will never end
Floating down the river bend

Author's Note
I had missed the annual float trip with friends 2 years in a row and recently found out that one of those friends had passed away. I mostly think of her memory being on a river and this weekend is the annual float trip so i think I will go. She was far too young, and always fun to be around
