Spine-Tingling
Journal [1st and only entry]
13 Dec 2011
My Birthday, During a lightning storm
Around 9:00PM
I now realize that there is nothing in this world as scary as the things that plague my mind, this is a disappointment.
I love lightning
The electricity in the air,
The physical crackling
The feeling on the back of your neck,
Between the top of your spine
and the knob on the back of your head
The tension,
The feeling that
You could be struck at any time
and liking that feeling
The thought of the feeling of being struck,
The electricity running down the back of your head
Down your spine, Crackling, Spine-Tingling
Down to earth,
Like the resounding thud
Of your feet hitting the floor
Of the Ocean
Whilst wearing lead shoes...
The resounding silence afterwards,
"sleeping with the fishes".
The rain's good too
I like the way it pounds down on you,
Never letting up,
Beating you down
and you resisting,
Standing tall
The tingling of water as it trickles
Down the back of your neck,
Your head and shoulders
Plastering your hair to your head
How your skin gets cold,
Your feet numb
It's glorious,
It makes me feel more alive than...
Ever!
