where i write

 
Words are beginning
to string out, and I
tell them that they've failed me.
They come and go
but I close my eyes as they pass.

There are places that writing brings me
that I never imagined I'd be.
Failing words was never my plan,
nor was failing
myself.

(Yet I still expect it
so maybe it's not all that bad.)
