Ode to the Vase (A Satire and Irony)
An ode to the vase
Handywork emptiness
A vessel that is hollow
Adorned and bejeweled
Reflecting shiny outside
Gleaming and glimmering
Timely crafting
Many hearty details and etchings
Its earthen shape
Origins in dust
Worth less than water
Filling nothing
To hold up the surface
Weak and frail framework
Inside its spaced reinforcement
A self-sustaining void
Outside sitting placed down
Purposely on the vanity
Dimensions cube
On the plane, In the room, in a village
Now forgotten in a moment
Its balancing close to the edge
With wind comes gushing through
Toppling it over tumbling
A crashing and pieces dash
Laying scattered on the ground
Never to be put back together
Once made from pride and glory
Piercing dried shards
Broom sweeping
Casting away disintegrated
A matter never again
