The Perception Of An Insecure Heart

This aching hunger
that kept me blinded for so long,
you filled in an instance,
not knowing the power you had over me,
still have over me,
not knowing just how beautiful
my loves surrender to you was.

It was always you that held my heart,
melting it in your hands, its rhythm,
at your command as a breeze
whistles through tall grasses,
gesturing to them which way to bend.

Still, My soul fears a trip,
that leads to a stumble that leads to a fall
and it fights this fear,
fights for its right to adore you
and will do until the end of time....

This is the perception of
an insecure heart.

It was always you with just
a touch of your hand,
almost god like in its elegance,
healed all that was twisted and dark
and taught me that to survive.

Love, Real Love,
being open to it,
was all I needed.
