Ascendance

planetary motions
while in the Sun's embrace
with mountains and the oceans
in electric space

in spiral arms galactic
through the depths between
an emptiness fantastic
and a plasma stream

generating everything
powering the stars
and every place that we are in
even dusty Mars

ionic rivers in the sky
and subatomically
electrons sometimes somehow tie
together you and me

now that you are listening
to this simple rhyme
these words are like a mist in
somewhere you can find

a moment of transcendence
fleeting yet divine
a moment of ascendence
slipping out of time...
