waiting for the rain to stop...maybe

the rain
was here,
not here,
it came
tickling in,
leaving
laughter
everywhere,

i waited
inside,
trying
to decide
what i
should do,

i went
out and
jumped around
in the
discussions
the storm
made,

rain drips
down
my head,
my shoulders,
down
my chest,
lingering at
my waistline,

stopping
to gather
their breath,
each drop
made
a race
down
my legs,

the finish
line,
my bare
feet,
they jumped
from my
bare toes
into
deeper water.
