Luce The First

insulated honesty beholding Majesty
it is the laws of attraction
it's not hard to detect
you are envious of me

I'm unsure why, I am a whipping stone

seduce the need and explain
while I show honor and restraint
you love me but...

It's always been there, the ellipsis
valiantly I showed you proof, of my love
but you are ruthless

beings bound to truth we seethe
inside the chaos I see pain
pure and simple

did it ever occur to you, that I could fall in love with another?

deeply troubling are your confessions
I'm no priest I cannot absolve you of your guilt
the high priest of nothing much matters, that's me

I sulk in the background of our child's whim
secreting my thoughts away

so you don't laugh at my pain
