New Mexico

New Mexico... I do not know where to start, and most certainly will not know where to finish: it is such a beautiful, magical, mystic and tragic place.  
If you have a chance, see as much of it as you can, especially any part of it that includes mountains.  The prairies are pretty, but the mountains are majestic- beautiful, magical and mystic-, and there are a lot of them.  
If you have a chance, talk to locals, real locals whose families have been there since humans emerged from the underground, or at least since the Spanish arrived.
