On Stilling the Mind

Mind does nor readily give you
The combination to her safe -
Behind which is the door
That opens on the cave
Where the ruby of great price
Lies hidden.

Neither

Does mind give up
Her secrets easily
As she is very busy
Running here, there,
And everywhere.

It is only when you are able
To still the mind
That the deep secrets of life
Mind has covered up in you
Are revealed.

Remember -

The mind wants to keep you
In total ignorance
Of who and what you are.
