Peaceful Thrill

The crabapple tree,
barren of a single leaf's life.
But instead, was elegantly bathed
in pale soft moonlight.
Helpless was my famished sight.
It began as a trance of delight
Sometimes it's the mere daylight
that frightens.
While the newborn night enlightens.
The quiet still seeps into me
A peaceful thrill.
My violet veins seize.
There needs to be a greed for peace.
