The author encourages honest critique.
Trump has some kind of perverse charisma that is somehow 'attractive' to the dispossessed, believing he will 'save them' from their own stuck stories. It reminds me of my father recounting a German au pair staying with the family in Manchester, listening to a speech by Hitler on the radio (c.1936) and being enraptured and in tears and in some kind of worshipful state. I don't know how these guys do it.
