Image for the poem Slippery Slope

Slippery Slope

Through hollow eyes, darkness abides
in the gothic fields of souls and bones
dripping marrow, blood's Welsh rarebit
tonguing womb of your Worcestershire
sticking in a thumb and pulling out a bun
sliding down the macabre's slippery slope
through hollow eyes, darkness abides
in the gothic fields of souls and bones
