The cardboard blocking the sun...
Eclipsic in a metaphorical sense.  Yeah, I think I made that word up (eclipsic).  
Also, I get a sense of splitting atoms. Taking things in so deep, to cellular level, when perhaps depression has someone so low, with only their thoughts.
  This write intrigues me, for its thick coating over the bones of the words.  
You're good at that though, bringing the intrigue.

And you're good at bringing intrigue to your critiques. And making up cool words like eclipsic.
