Memory
Before the wind blows my last leaf
I pray to keep all my memories with me
That in days of rain up there in heaven
I vision my friends all becoming, and free
Leave nothing left of me here on Earth
Except all the sands that brush rock and dirt
But keep all my memories when I go
The songs, and pain, all that I know
Keep my name, and its memory close
And know I am near when the winds blow
It's all that I ask, and now all I dream;
More profound as the bell rings close it seems
I would leave all treasure to the landlords there
To keep my memories when I join the air
I pray to keep all my memories with me
That in days of rain up there in heaven
I vision my friends all becoming, and free
Leave nothing left of me here on Earth
Except all the sands that brush rock and dirt
But keep all my memories when I go
The songs, and pain, all that I know
Keep my name, and its memory close
And know I am near when the winds blow
It's all that I ask, and now all I dream;
More profound as the bell rings close it seems
I would leave all treasure to the landlords there
To keep my memories when I join the air
