Adorning your soul a shadow
I feel your rougher edges
I feel your fine intellect
I've taken direct hits from you
your cutting words brought me low

Inside me I yearn for your affection

Too refined I've met people like this before

They discount my intelligence as some oddity
a crazy lady, it's too bad she's mad
