Snow
A still exists.
Between the cascading and tumbling fall.
The snowflakes, a thousand identities
for one winters cause.
I'm captivated in silent enthrall.
The noiseless beauty drives peace
into the illusions of my needs.
Provokes nostalgic moments, of long ago snows, buried in memory's vault.
Snow is the way the tortured cold bleeds.

I can’t help but get excited for the first snowfall- lots of memories of snowy days as a kid- watching the snow fall, blowing into drifts, ringing the glow of street lights.

I remember the snow was as thick as 1 metre high, i could barely step out of my house, as it snowed
right at our doorstep,
Being snowed in was such fun and joy as we stay around the fireplace playing or joking but too happy
with less food and less cloth, but we could survive the coldest winters not the least( complain..
But to day.......................what can i say ?........
Thanks for your read , your sharing quill with most fine poetry..

Yes times sure have changed. I can remember being snowed in too. Being snowed in as an adult, not so much fun, lol. I have a deep love for the way nature receives each season, so I'm waiting for those sugar coated trees.
Thank you for checking out, there will be many more snow poems to come, lol -

I like your poetic easy feelings...
Peace... into the illusions of your needs.
A supreme happiness feeds that snow...

Re. Snow
This poem brings back memories of my childhood, too, of making snow men, having snow ball fights and sledding. How nice it was to remember those fun times in Pennsylvania along side the woods. Your poem is fabulous! I very much enjoyed it.

It was Pennsylvania snow 😊
Snow was so much fun as a kid. I get a little crazy with the snow poems too, lol

Nice way to use observation and put it into definition. It garners awareness and depth perception, in metaphorical analogy, as well as emotional atmosphere. I like how you focus on the elements of each season to capture and depict how you feel and what you see. I can almost put myself in the woods in a sort of calm and chilly atmosphere, reading along, heh. There is a sort of calm and stillness about watching snow fall, even in just one storm, with the infinitely different snowflakes, all falling individually. Transition of feelings and thoughts find a sort of peace in this analysis, at least to me. Hopefully, the cold that is buried beneath you can awake in consuming flames! Heh, just kidding. Anyway, as always, interesting write. Thanks for sharing!
